Amazing sake pairing dinner with excellent Japanese-style Italian -AL PORTO-

Ristorante Al Porto, owned and operated by renowned Chef Mamoru Kataoka, has been a long-established Italian restaurant in Japan since it opened in 1983, using ingredients from all over Japan and uniquely Japanese sensibilities to create a unique genre of Japanese-Italian cuisine that can only be found in Japan.

He was an early proponent of the idea that “good sake always goes well with Italian foods,” and since 2011, together with sake stylist Ms.Makiko Tejima, he has been hosting special sake and Italian dinner parties exclusively for members with her.

This time, we wanted our guests from overseas to experience an Italian food and sake pairing dinner, an experience that can only be had in Japan, and learn about the diversity of Japanese food culture. Chef Mamoru Kataoka sympathized with our desire for the Sake on the Table project, and this experience plan has made a reality.
