Formal visit a traditional shrine -KANDA SHRINE-
This special official visit begins with experiencing the etiquette of purifying oneself while listening to an explanation from the priest. You’ll enter the shrine grounds with the priest and hear an explanation about the shrine’s history and why sake barrels are displayed in the grounds of Japanese shrines. Finally, you’ll take off your shoes and enter the main hall. After the ceremony is over, sacred sake is served at the exit, and an explanation about the sacred sake is given. Afterwards, you will have the chance to interact directly with the Gagaku(Japanese court music) musicians in a special room, where you will receive an explanation of each classical instrument and experience a special performance. Through this special official visit, you will be able to experience Japan’s traditional culture more deeply and more closely.Approx time: 1.5 hours |
